LYCRA®

For cycling shorts, tights and aerosuits, DECCA uses real Lycra by Invista. It is said of many fibres to dispose of the same qualities as Lycra. Yet, DECCA sticks to the original for the sake of quality.
Lycra belongs to the elastic fibres that give fabrics and clothing a matchless fit, comfort and elbowroom.
With a remarkable capacity to stretch over 600% and then shrink to its original size again, Lycra is combinable with any other fibre, in order to get the fabric which lives up to customer’s expectations. Quality and capacities of the most important fibre in this fabric are preserved, and thanks to Lycra completed with the desired elasticity.

LYCRA-clothing moves along with the body and respects its natural shape. As a result, one should better not use Lycra to cover up one’s paunch.

ELITE-Insert (Aero Pad)

The performance and comfort of cycling shorts are the combination of two main factors:
 
- the quality of the insert
- the craftmanship of the stitching and the design of the shorts

In very close co-operation with our Italian suppliers we designed an insert that has been developed and tested with the help of our club and team customers : the ELITE-Insert (Aero Pad) is HERE!

For ultimate performance and comfort the insert is available in anatomically correct  male (white) and female (red) versions.

Both versions have been developed to specifically adress the performance and comfort issues related to both male and female riding positions.

Specific attention has been paid to the relief of stresses that could build up in rides of 5-6 hours, and higher performance comfort in technical events.

The following technical features make our inserts so comfortable:

Unique perforation system: strategically placed ventilation pores are designed to provide continuous ventilation and yet also  allow efective moisture wicking through the pedalling action of the cyclist

Seamless Insert: the entire insert is designed without any seams to avoid any possibility of discomfort and irritation. 3D design technilogy allows us to design for both comfort and performance without compromise

High Technology Materials (100% polyester) The use of the latest materials technology allows for superb breathabilty allied to effective moisture wicking and rapid drying

ISOLIGHT

For its training suit sweaters DECCA uses the brand-new ISOLIGHT. This fabric is both breathing and insulating at the same time, and is therefore of great value for its temperature regulating capacities.
Moreover, ISOLIGHT is a polyester fibre conveying moisture quickly and thus preserving body temperature. Compared to competitive fabrics, moisture is conveyed up to 40% faster by ISOLIGHT.

VILOFT

For the high-quality Sports Underwear, DECCA uses fibres by VILOFT. This viscose fibre of German ‘Kelheim Fibres’ was specially developed because of its unique technical and aesthetical features. This makes VILOFT one in a thousand fabrics.

The most important VILOFT features:

Heat

Our body continuously produces heat, starting from 100W when resting up to 1.000W during physical exertion. Despite the colder outside temperatures, our body generates even more heat in wintertime. In order to keep our body temperature healthy, our body emits heat by perspiring. At this moment clothing starts playing a key role: when heat cannot be conveyed, sporting performances will decrease. It is therefore essential that clothing is able to breathe. VILOFT has an excellent breathing capacity, while it simultaneously makes sure enough heat is preserved in order to keep the microclimate of our body healthy and constant.

 

 

Moisture regulation

VILOFT breathes! No matter how cold it is, someone sporting intensively also perspires. Sweat is spread rapidly through the fibres by means of capillarity.

Softness

VILOFT has a unique transection with a knurled surface, resulting in comfortable clothes and garments feeling soft and fit to be worn next to the skin.

Natural origin

VILOFT is a product of 100% natural origin, with a base of carefully selected wood pulp.

Lightweight

Because of its ultra light weight VILOFT is ideal for performance sports. Furthermore, it can be worn easily under tight clothing, such as a cycling outfit, without losing its aerodynamics.

Easy in maintenance

The clothing can be machine washed at 40°C, losing neither shape, style, colour nor quality.

WINDTEX

WINDTEX is a light elastic and temperature regulating membrane, blocking wind and rain, and creating a constant microclimate between skin and clothing.

The membrane disposes of unique features thanks to the light weight and the unusual elasticity. That is why DECCA prefers this ideal fabric for windcheaters, winter coats, raincoats and wind-tight underwear.

Temperature regulating and breathing

Our body continuously generates heat, even more when sporting. As a reaction, we begin to sweat in order to keep our body temperature under control. When clothes are unable to convey the heat, the performance of the sportsman lowers. The breathing capacity of WINDTEX enables the body always to preserve the ideal temperature to deliver top performances.

Minimum balast

Often sportsmen are seen wearing different layers of clothing. In this way, they are never cold and can always take off a piece of textile when it becomes too hot during sporting. Yet, after having taken off the clothes, they do not know where to put them. At this point WINDTEX comes in handily with a featherweight of barely 250 gram. A weight worth neglecting when taking the other multifunctional capacities into account: comfortable, breathing, wind- and waterproof.

Thanks to the light weight and elasticity of WINDTEX, DECCA clothing is an ideal partner to get into action. DECCA cycling clothing is not a straightjacket, but moves along with the sportsman’s body. 

Hard-wearing

Clothing on a base of WINDTEX keeps its high quality, even after being washed manifoldly. The elasticity stays at the same high level for life. Clothing fabricated with this membrane, can be easily washed with water or taken to the dry cleaner’s.

Waterproof guaranteed

Thanks to the seams stopped with Thermotape, WINDTEX is waterproof guaranteed.
